The main focus of the Mission Advocacy Subcommittee, which was in operation from 2014-2016, was to bring issues of the entire NGO Committee on Migration to the Member States of the United Nations through various means, including written position papers and visits with Permanent Missions and stakeholders. The members of this group performed in-depth research into the immigration policies of select States and created a central repository for their research and talking points related to specific national policies and practices. The Subcommittee also contributed to the development of the concept note for the 2016 Global Forum on Migration and Development (GFMD).
