This compendium offers a sampling of strategies and actions being undertaken by governments, civil society, and other actors to realize the vision of the New York Declaration, Global Compact for Migration, Global Compact on Refugees, and Sustainable Development Goals. The collection will be built upon over time, especially as governments adopt and begin implementation of the Global Compacts in late 2018 and beyond.

This 1-page introduction to the Global Compact for Migration, available in English, Spanish, and French, includes essential features of the GCM‘s purpose, development process, significance, political commitments, and implementation plan.

I am a child!
This booklet of guidelines and good practices for the protection of migrant and refugee children’s human rights throughout their lifetimes, particularly with respect to birth registration, education, health, and “firewalls,” was developed by the CoM in partnership with WorldVision and Caritas Internationalis.

Putting Words into ACTion: Concrete Policies and Practices for the Implementation of a Civil Society Vision for the Global Compact
This compendium of good practices was developed by the CoM for UN Member States to use as a reference as they examine how they can negotiate and implement a Global Compact for Migration that  addresses drivers of forced migration, protects vulnerable groups of migrants (especially children and those fleeing the negative impacts of climate change and disasters), and promotes social inclusion of migrants within their borders.

Now and How: Ten Acts for the Global Compact
This document, drafted in consultation with the CoM, presents a vision for a UN Global Compact on Human Mobility and Migration and a set of TEN ACTS that a wide diversity of non-governmental organizations believe are essential for a meaningful Compact for migrants, refugees and societies. Endorse it here to become a signatory.

CoM Response to the SRSG’s Issue Brief #6 in Preparation for the Sixth Thematic Consultation on the Global Compact on Migration
This statement, drafted by the CoM, was contributed to the session on the “migration and regular pathways, including decent work, labor mobility, recognition of skills and qualifications and other relevant measures” held in Geneva on 12-13 October 2017.

CoM Response to the SRSG’s Issue Brief #5 in Preparation for the Fifth Thematic Consultation on the Global Compact on Migration
This statement, drafted by the CoM was contributed to the session on the “Smuggling of migrants, trafficking in persons and contemporary forms of slavery, including appropriate identification, protection and assistance to migrants and trafficking victims” held in Vienna on 4-5 September 2017.
